No. 43-56 The Ultimate Procrastination

In my frantic attempt to save as many shoes as possible before the challange ended, this is what it boiled down to: wear as many different shoes for every possible mini-adventure. Cleaning the house? Save some flats. Going to photo class on a saturday? Save some sneakers! Going to a wedding? Save FOUR different pairs of heels, with the SAME OUTFIT. I even had to find some crappy phone pictures of one pair I thought I had saved a long time ago over the summer but never posted about! Hahaha, some days I had to double up, do a quick outfit change, it was diffcult but I got the really important shoes saved. Sadly, a few will be leaving my possession but they have already been replaced! (Empty space on my shoe shelf depresses me.)
So here they are, my final saves of the year!!

56 out of about 63!
Not too bad I'd say!!

The End is Here! Well...Near?

As of midnight tonight, today is officially the end of the shoe challenge!
HOWEVER. I have saved a buttload of shoes in the last few days (saved 3 in one day just last Saturday, yea crazy pants I know) but I just have had NO time in the past few days to post anything.
I wasn't even at home yesterday until midnight, I was in the newsroom at school for 16 hours straight. I feel like any free time I've had lately goes flying right at the window with me just trying to catch up to where I should be. I'm super exhausted and all I want to do right this tell you "Yay look how awesome I did in the challenge!" but instead I'm making (I feel are) excuses when I REALLY should be working on my science take-home exam because I have a test at 8 a.m. in the morning.

Oh, and did I mention I'm sick? Sore throat, achey body, (double-ache because my ballet shoes didn't have traction on the newly-cleaned dance-room floor today and I fell on my butt, TWICE) and a super headache from having been staring at computer screens nonstop.

Wow this turned into quite a rant didn't it?
Basically I'm going to stop saving shoes today and just give myself until Friday to show you the ones I DID manage to save. I'm defininitely going to be losing quite a few pairs but I migth have recently *ahem* treated myself to ones I WILL wear to replace them. ;)

Ahh adventures. You never know if they'll have molehills or mountains...
Que Sera Sera.

No. 41, 42 Ballet Shoe Saves

Photobucket

With three of my seven days a week spent in ballet tights and ballet shoes and ballet buns, I'm super surprised I took this long to take pictures and save my ballet slippers and the walking shoes I use to warm up in.
With only a week left in the Shoe challenge I'm kind of intimidated by the 17 pairs I have yet to save. (two have technically been saved just need to be blogged about so maybe just 15 then? As if that's any better...)
Yikes!

Sometimes you unexpectedly have two adventures in one day, which means double the shoe saves! Gardening and 1st birthday parties, so fun!

No. 36 & 37 Flashback: 6 Months

6 months ago on July 9th 2011,
My best friend Brittany's sister got married.
In the process, I saved two different pairs of shoes, did Brittany's makeup, laughed, cried, laughed again, danced, ironically caught a bouquet, made silly poses with the bride, danced some more, ate the most amazing cake I've ever had, and helped clean up after every one left.
That much fun could not have been created by a happier couple,
and I was so honored to be able to celebrate with them.

Happy 6 month Anniversary Stephanie and Anthony!
Thanks for the amazing time!
